i need to make a perfume, got the oil, acohol which are the proportions and how long shall i age it?
I am planning to manufacture a perfume. I got the essential oil and the alcohol but I need to know the proportions of them plus water.
How long shall I age it?, I am not sure that if i have to mix everything together at once or I must go mixing the oil, with part of alcohol for sometime and then add the rest. Do I need to use some sort of substance to fix the odor or aroma? Thanks a lot.

Here are some terms and the standard percentages of essential oils. You'll need to do a bit of math. Perfume is greater than 22% essential oil. Eau de perfume is 15-22% essential oils. Eau de toilette is 8-15% and cologne is less than 5% essential oils with water added. The remaining percentage is the alcohol. Please be aware that there are many grades and qualities of alcohol, each lending something to the end product. You can also make oil based perfumes with no alcohol; just eo's, base oil and beeswax. The advantage of oil based perfumes is that you can use them as an oil, a solid, or add them to creams, body oils, bath, etc. The disadvantage of solids is the fact that you must use heat to blend the materials rather than the alcohol/solvent.
Aging should not be necessary, some changes will occur over time, but they aren't necessarily predictable and the 'aging' shouldn't be depended upon to improve your blend. There are commercial fixatives available, however, if you are blending your own perfumes with high quality essential oils, the synthetic fixatives seem out of place. There are some essential oils that are fixatives themselves, but they add a scent to the blend. Amyris, Blue Cypress, Frankincense, Labdanum, Oakmoss and Opoponox are some examples.
