itchy scalp question-if i mix rosemary and jojoba carrier oil, how long should i apply it for and how often?

is there a set rule for how long you should keep these oil treatments in your hair. 10mins? 1hr? overnight? so far i have these items:

I'd not use jojoba oil as it's a bit heavy for your scalp and hair, olive oil is a much better carrier oil to use and in itself will be beneficial for your hair as a means of conditioning your hair. Are you using it as a conditioning/repair treatment or for hair growth? Remember for growth the more you do this the better for growth.

There is no set rule, longer the better though, massage into your scalp either half an hour before your bath/shower or keep it on overnight and wash off in the morning - you're hair will look greasy, that's to be expected, I don't use shampoo I use conditioner-only so if that's enough to wash it out then with shampoo it'll wash out no problem (although shampoo will strip your hair of oils so essentially counteract any of the good work that the oil treatment has given you)
